Et, sans surprise, le mod\u00e8le \u00e9lectrifi\u00e9 est disponible en tenue Rubicon.<\/p>\n<p>Il n\u2019en fallait pas plus pour mettre \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve ce Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4xe 2021. Voici ce que j\u2019ai retenu de ce contact sur route\u2026 et loin de celle-ci.<\/p>\n<h3>Design : 8\/10<\/h3>\n<p>Au premier coup d\u2019\u0153il, le Wrangler 4xe ressemble \u00e0 tous les autres Wrangler Unlimited sur la route, mais une deuxi\u00e8me inspection r\u00e9v\u00e8le quelques exclusivit\u00e9s au 4&#215;4 \u00e9lectrifi\u00e9. Par exemple, du c\u00f4t\u00e9 gauche, non loin du pilier A, on retrouve cette petite trappe o\u00f9 le c\u00e2ble de recharge est branch\u00e9 pour retrouver la quarantaine de kilom\u00e8tres possibles en mode purement \u00e9lectrique. L\u2019espace \u00e0 bord est celui d\u2019un 4&#215;4 muni d\u2019une cage de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 qui enveloppe les occupants \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur du toit rigide. Il faut donc accepter de composer avec cette armature au quotidien. L\u2019espace dans le coffre n\u2019est pas celui d\u2019une minifourgonnette, mais il est possible d\u2019y loger passablement de mat\u00e9riel. La planche de bord est toujours aussi lin\u00e9aire et les concepteurs ne sont pas tomb\u00e9s dans le pi\u00e8ge de tapisser celle-ci d\u2019une arm\u00e9e de touches tactiles. Non, le Wrangler conserve ses bons vieux boutons traditionnels. L\u00e0 o\u00f9 \u00e7a devient tactile, c\u2019est en plein centre o\u00f9 l\u2019\u00e9cran du syst\u00e8me d\u2019infodivertissement accueille l\u2019excellent syst\u00e8me UConnect 5. Les graphiques et l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 de ce dernier ont \u00e9t\u00e9 louang\u00e9s \u00e0 plusieurs reprises dans ces pages. La suspension plus raide du mod\u00e8le Rubicon rend le v\u00e9hicule tr\u00e8s sautillant et les routes bossel\u00e9es au possible de la vieille province n\u2019arrangent rien. En conduite hors route, c\u2019est encore plus sautillant, mais les habitu\u00e9s de la discipline savent \u00e0 quoi s\u2019attendre. La batterie, quant \u00e0 elle, est boulonn\u00e9e sous la banquette arri\u00e8re. Lorsque les trois moteurs travaillent de concert, la puissance grimpe \u00e0 375 chevaux \u2013 une statistique digne d\u2019un moteur V8 HEMI \u2013, tandis que le couple optimal de 470 lb-pi devient utile lorsque les conditions se corsent en for\u00eat. Notez que le couple disponible est le m\u00eame que pour le Jeep Wrangler 392 Rubicon, l\u2019autre nouveaut\u00e9 tr\u00e8s performante de l\u2019ann\u00e9e pour le Wrangler.<\/p>\n<h3>Agr\u00e9ment de conduite : 6\/10<\/h3>\n<p>\u00c0 l\u2019approche d\u2019un parcours accident\u00e9, le Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe constitue probablement le meilleur choix pour poursuivre sa route. Le 4&#215;4 inspire confiance et durant cette journ\u00e9e pass\u00e9e \u00e0 chercher des obstacles tous plus ardus les uns que les autres, l\u2019utilitaire am\u00e9ricain n\u2019a jamais bronch\u00e9. En fait, c\u2019est probablement ma seule d\u00e9ception de cette journ\u00e9e, soit de ne pas avoir d\u00e9nich\u00e9 d\u2019obstacle assez ardu pour faire travailler un peu plus le Jeep. En bon v\u00e9hicule hybride rechargeable, le Wrangler 4xe offre trois modes de conduite : Hybrid, eSave et Electric. J\u2019ai donc pu appr\u00e9cier le mode \u00e9lectrique en conduite hors route, le silence qui a toutefois \u00e9t\u00e9 bris\u00e9 \u00e0 deux ou trois reprises lorsque mon pied droit en redemandait un peu plus au v\u00e9hicule, le moteur 4-cylindres qui venait se m\u00ealer au syst\u00e8me hybride.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00eame si cette exp\u00e9rience en nature s\u2019est av\u00e9r\u00e9e tr\u00e8s relaxante, avec comme seule musique le frottement des pneus sur la terre et ce cillement des moteurs \u00e9lectriques, j\u2019ai tout de m\u00eame appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 le mode Hybrid qui, lors de fortes acc\u00e9l\u00e9rations, fait sentir les 375 chevaux du groupe motopropulseur. Je dois aussi mentionner que la livr\u00e9e Rubicon oblige le conducteur \u00e0 continuellement apporter des correctifs \u00e0 la direction en roulant sur l\u2019autoroute \u00e0 vitesse. Il est clair que les deux autres livr\u00e9es du Wrangler 4xe seront plus faciles \u00e0 vivre au quotidien gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur suspension et leurs pneus moins agressifs.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00c9conomie de carburant : 7\/10<\/h3>\n<p>Le hic dans cette histoire, c\u2019est que malgr\u00e9 sa motorisation hybride rechargeable, le Jeep Wrangler 4xe n\u2019est pas exactement un champion de la consommation de carburant. J\u2019ai obtenu une moyenne de 11,2 L\/100 km pendant mon p\u00e9riple. Ici, l\u2019utilisation du petit bouton tatou\u00e9 d\u2019une petite batterie \u2013 celui qui r\u00e9cup\u00e8re l\u2019\u00e9nergie de mani\u00e8re plus convaincante lors des freinages et des d\u00e9c\u00e9l\u00e9rations \u2013 aurait peut-\u00eatre aid\u00e9 un peu ma cause, mais bon, sans trop porter attention, la moyenne de ce mod\u00e8le \u00e9lectrifi\u00e9 devrait en principe tourner aux alentours des 11 litres aux 100 km. Rien pour \u00e9crire \u00e0 sa m\u00e8re, c\u2019est certain.
