The Ford Mustang Mach-E can be a lot of things for an owner: a true performance car in the spirit of the Ford Mustang, a comfortable and luxurious family hauler, a stylish head-turner whether on the road or in the driveway, and of course, an efficient and emissions-free electric vehicle*.
But the Mustang Mach-E is also a technological powerhouse, packed with the latest Ford driver assist technologies, convenience and performance software and advanced features. It all comes together for a unique and satisfying driving experience, offering exhilaration, comfort, and peace of mind.
Here are our five favourite tech features found in the Ford Mustang Mach-E.
One-Pedal Driving
One of the most distinct features where the Mustang Mach-E stands out is its ability for true one-pedal driving**. Switch this option on in the settings. Push the accelerator pedal any time you want to move. To slow down, simply start releasing the pedal, and the vehicle slows down in a predictive manner. Take your foot off the pedal completely and the Mustang Mach-E gently comes to a stop. For the uninitiated, it takes a couple days to get used to, but once you do, you’ll never want to go back to two-pedal driving. You can cruise around town without ever using the brakes pedal at all. Of course, the brake pedal is still available for those unexpected or emergency stops.
Available Ford Co-Pilot Active 2.0
Ford Co-Pilot360™ [Ford Co-Pilot 360™ 2.0] is a suite of advanced available driver-assist technologies that offers a number of advanced available driver-assist features designed to help keep you in command, from the driveway to the highway. The available Ford BlueCruise is a new technology that builds upon available Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Lane Centering and Speed Sign Recognition***. It allows the driver to operate their vehicle hands-free while being monitored by a driver- facing camera to make sure you’re keeping your eyes on the road. This feature is compatible on prequalified sections of divided highways called Hands-Free Blue Zones that make up over 130,000 miles of North American roads.
Customizable Experience
Many cars offer customizable driver profiles, but the Mustang Mach-E goes beyond the norm. Besides setting up seats and climate settings for different drivers, they can also select a Drive Experience to match their mood (with energizing sounds while driving or none at all), pedal and steering feel, one-pedal driving or normal, gauge graphics and stereo settings.
FordPass™ App
The FordPass™ smartphone App^ is a powerful multitool for a Mustang Mach-E owner, right in the palm of their hand. Available for both IOS and Android devices, FordPass™ lets a driver keep tabs on their vehicle and charging status, start the vehicle remotely (good for warming up on cold days), lock or unlock the doors, and even help locate the car. Find nearby chargers or even plan a longer route with the app, or look for restaurants, parking▲ or other amenities. And in an emergency out on the road, Roadside Assistance†^ is just a phone call away. If you happen to run out of a charge within a 25km radius, all-electric Roadside Assistance from Ford will tow you to your choice of either the nearest charging station, the nearest participating Ford EV-certified dealer or your home residence. If outside of a 25km radius, you will be towed to the nearest available charging station on the three options. If you need more help, a FordGuide – yes, an actual person – is available via phone or live chat. The FordPass™ App is the vehicle feature you didn’t know you needed but won’t be able to live without.
Ford Power-Up
The Mustang Mach-E offers Ford Power-Up over-the-air software updates, meaning Ford can send software updates when FordPass Connect™ is activated++. But that doesn’t just mean added infotainment or navigation services; theoretically, Ford can also improve the quality, experiences, capability, and convenience of the Mustang Mach-E++. With this feature, the Mustang Mach-E will stay modern over time.
