A pickup truck should be functional and capable, and the all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning is all that but so much more with Pro Power OnboardTM*, giving you the ability to use the truck as a powerful, mobile electricity source.
With 9.6 kilowatts of available power, the feature comes standard on the XLT, Lariat and Platinum versions of the F-150 Lightning. The bed, cab and Mega Power Trunk all have 120V outlets, with a 240V outlet in the bed to power larger tools. And to make sure you don’t get stranded, the FordPass® app† can tell you when battery power falls below a specific range. A 2.4 kW version is standard on the exclusively fleet-only F-150 Lightning Pro, while the 9.6 kW Pro Power Onboard is available.
The F-150 Lightning has two battery sizes: the standard 98 kWh battery, and the available 131 kWh extended-range battery. And no matter which battery size and Pro Power Onboard combination, you’ll have the power you need to finish the job, whatever it may be. Even using Pro Power Onboard with extended-range battery, the F-150 Lightning can support a worksite for three days without charging◊.
Pro Power Onboard opens up so many options with what you can do for work and play, without the need for a standard power source, as long as you keep your appliances within the power range. But what exactly can you get done? Here, we’ve gathered a list of projects that can be tackled with the truck and a few creative projects to illustrate just how versatile this game changing feature really is.
