Chevrolet Blazer EV

In case you missed it, General Motors has just announced a new, “high-performance variant” of the upcoming Chevy Blazer EV SUV. The new variant will be called the Chevy Blazer SS (or “Super Sport”), and will be available spring of 2023.

While details remain under wraps, GM CEO Mary Barry announced the latest version of the Blazer EV with the promise that consumers will learn more about the EV later this year. The Blazer EV is set to debut alongside the Equinox EV, and Chevy has just released a 20-second teaser video of the all-electric Blazer.

Much like the announcement itself, the video doesn’t give much away, but does provide viewers with some dramatic, sweeping visuals of the EV’s charging door, a wheel, and a cherry red colour option. Consumers can also look at the 2023 Blazer ICE vehicle on Chevy’s website, which is described as “a midsize style icon that brings excitement to the everyday”, to glean some more ideas of what the high-performance EV will look like.
