In honour of Canada Day, Electrify Canada will be offering free EV charging across its expansive network of ultra-fast charging stations. This promotion aims to delight Canadian EV drivers as they head into the first official long weekend of summer.
“Providing complimentary charging across our network is our way thanking those who have already made the switch to electric while also giving an opportunity to try our ultra-fast network on a road trip,” says Robert Barrosa, senior director of sales, business development & marketing at Electrify Canada. “As we continue to expand our ultra-fast charging network coast to coast, we look forward to building EV range confidence among Canadian drivers and enabling them to go further, faster.”
In a press release, Electrify Canada announced that complimentary charging would begin July 1st at 12:01 AM, and will be in effect until July 2nd at 3 AM (EDT).
The company is also currently offering $65 off its Level 2 home charger, HomeStation when purchased on ElectrifyHome.ca from June 22 through July 8, 2022, using promotion code CANADADAY22. Electrify Home’s HomeStation delivers charging speeds of up to 9.6kW for capable vehicles, and can be plugged in using a NEMA 14-50 plug or hardwired by a licensed and qualified electrician, with adjustable charging power of up to 40 amps.
For those unfamiliar, the Electrify Canada network includes 30 stations spanning across Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia, conveniently positioned along major highways to ensure drivers can plan road trips without compromising on convenience. Most of these stations are located near popular amenities, such as restaurants and retail shops, and are equipped with four chargers offering capable vehicles speeds up to 150kW and 350kW, which is the fastest charging speed available today.
By 2026, Electrify Canada reportedly plans to expand to more than 100 charging stations with over 500 individual chargers.
