Amid a slew of their historic, gas-powered models, Lamborghini unveiled the Lanzador, a high-ground-clearance Gran Turismo concept with 2+2 seats at the Quail, a Motorsports Gathering. Not much was revealed about the workings under that angular body, though we do know it is all-wheel drive and has a motor at every wheel.

“Presenting the fully-electric Lamborghini Lanzador concept car during Monterey Car Week represents an important milestone in our company’s history and shapes our path towards decarbonizationand electrification”, said Stephan Winkelmann, chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “It was deeply gratifying to see the positive reaction from our valued customers to this vision of a future purely-electric fourth series production Lamborghini.”

There are no official plans to bring the Lanzador to market as of yet, but Lamborghini has stated it will have an electric 2+2 GT for sale by 2028, with further plans to fully electrify its offerings by the mid-2030s.

Today, things are looking rosy for the Italian marque, with record sales of 5,341 in the first half of this year; the Urus SUV is its sales leader with 3,241 units sold.
